These unlimited fixed price calling packages are competitively priced with some of the Internet Phone package offerings with the exception that with Verizon you get a real phone with real E-911, which you don't necessarily get with an internet phone. You also get the added benefit of reliability of both your Internet and Phone and TV, on the fiber optic network which is not affected by weather, electrical interference such as storms, etc. since the communications for each home at Watch Hill runs on a single wavelength of light over a glass fiber all the way to the Verizon Central Office in Tarrytown.

In addition to price and choices, the three technologies -- cable, satellite and fiber -- are very different and each has its advantages.
